While we last longer than traditional jewelry, there are a few things to keep in mind.
Hardware Pieces:
General rule of thumb: All pieces are waterproof and chemical resistant, but be mindful of scratches. Refrain from contact with hard and rough surfaces. For this reason, we don’t recommend wearing rings and chains in the shower daily (too much inadvertent contact with loofahs and/or physical exfoliants).

Gemstone Pieces:
Our stones are lab made and function just like mined gemstones. As such, be extra careful when washing hands, and rinse jewelry with clean water after contact with sweat, soaps, and shower gels.
Yes, yes, yes. Ready-Made was created with the sensitive wearer in mind. We only use biocompatible materials that don’t harm living tissue. In fact, the materials we use are relied on extensively in the medical field as surgical tools and implants. We need to note that all stainless steel including our 316L stainless steel is composed of 5% nickel, but 316L is still certified as medical grade and biocompatible as the nickel is incorporated into the metal in a way that causes no skin reactions or harm. Less than 0.1% of the population can still have reactions to stainless steel, but you would know if this is true for you as something as ordinary as buttons on jeans would have caused an allergic reaction.
Ready-Made has the health of the planet as a priority. Our core metal, stainless steel, is one of the most reused and recyclable metals on the planet, with more than an 85% strength retention rate. Our high-tech color plating processes release no fumes into the environment and leave no residue or liquids behind. We also don’t rely on any chemicals to change the coating color of our pieces, relying instead on wavelengths. We use 100% recyclable cellulose envelopes and mailers, 100% recycled paper for our cards and boxes, and have moved away from relying on plastic packaging to transport and store our inventory.
Every manufacturer that we collaborate with is ISO certified, meaning that they meet certain standards in occupational health and safety, environmental friendliness and compliance, and quality assurance and efficiency. Our founding team also periodically visits each factory for internal audits. They are also in direct communication with all factory managers. Our hazard-free manufacturing processes neither release fumes nor leave behind residues.
We don’t use traditional metals for three main reasons:
1. Transparency. There’s a lot of talk about fair mined metals, but not a lot being done to prove this transparency. Getting to the source of gold and gemstones including recycled and reclaimed gold was a hurdle we weren’t able to overcome with certainty when we were starting Ready-Made and thinking about how to offer quality jewelry made with integrity. Vendors giving us their word didn’t feel enough.
2. The traditional manufacturing process for gold plating isn’t eco-friendly. Due to the nature of soft metals, traditional processes like wet plating and heat are utilized, and that can not only cause damage to the environment, but can also be harmful to factory workers.
3. We want to take the guesswork out of alloys (mixed metals). The materials we use - surgical stainless steel and titanium nitrite - are used in the medical field as surgical tools and implants. For the most part, our tissues don’t reject these two materials. With gold, silver, and brass, there’s always that risk of these alloys being mixed with metals that your body isn’t compatible with, leading to irritation.
We want to offer something that is timeless, looks like fine jewelry (thanks to our smooth-as-butter plating and detailed metalwork), skin-safe, sustainable, environmentally friendly, and transparent — all at a more universal price point that is comparable in price to mass manufactured, gold plated and costume jewelry.
I love these. Top quality, fast shipping, carefully packaged. Definitely worth it. They even threw in an extra hoop. (TY) All that said, getting these threaded studs on the post is nearly impossible! If you have another person and a pair of needle nose pliers then you’re probably good, if not take a deep breath and have some patience. I dropped the star so many times I even had to take the molding off my vanity because it when underneath it. lol Still once they are in they are amazing. I won’t be taking them out any time soon. My only suggestion is to make a push on back version.
They are way to small, so hard to screw in i was never able to screw them in even with help was super disappointed.
All of my holes were pierced with a gun, so unfortunately these studs did not fit my ears. The packaging was great, the quality and beauty of the earrings were perfect, but I couldn't wear them. I was able to get store credit thanks to the wonderful company, but I suggest you see if these studs are too wide for your pierced hole.

I’ve never owned flat back earrings before so putting them on was an adjustment. I only had minor sensitivity after the earrings were in— this was due to not having been able to wear earrings in many years.
I’ve been wearing them since the day they arrived and have had no issues. No tarnishing. No irritation to my skin once the holes adjusted to having an earring in. No pain after sleeping. The screws have stayed secure.
I hope Ready Made adds more titanium earrings to their line up! I’d love to buy some huggies..!
They took a minute and some help to get in, but they're beautiful and I love them. I'll probably get more.
So far the quality and appearance are good, but I was not aware the screw for the studs would be so small(~1-2mm maybe on an 8mm post) so there is some difficulty with trying to put them on by hand unless I'm missing something. Also, one of the star studs fell out while I was sleeping and I'm not sure if this was due to the screw size or if I didn't screw it in far enough (though fortunately I just found it on my pillow). Overall I'm still happy with my purchase, just be warned that twisting the stars onto the posts definitely tests your hand-eye coordination and I'd highly recommend using a magnifying mirror.
These are truly lovely, but they are tiny. Like, think of the smallest earrings you own, and then make them smaller, that's these earrings. They're tricky to get in, but once they're in they're adorable.
Just keep in mind: SO. SMALL.
Most disappointing purchase I’ve made from this company and I own a lot of their jewelry. Literally impossible to put on unless someone else screws them in for you because they’re so small. Super cute and comfortable when they’re in but absolutely impractical. I also lost one after 2 weeks because it just fell out - so there’s that. Sucks that earrings are final sale!
